Information About Kick Login and Permissions

Since there have been discussions among people about this, we thought it appropriate to make this statement.

The permissions you see when logging in with Kick are as follows:

KickLogzCom wants to access your Kick account. This access includes:

  • Read user information (including email address)
  • Read channel information
  • Write to Chat feed
  • Subscribe to events (read chat feed, follows, subscribes, gifts)

75% of these permissions are optional and do not have to be granted. As you can understand from the visual, the only mandatory permission to log in with Kick is:

Read user information (including email address)

The other permissions are used only for additional products available in our system.

For example:

  • To be able to query user history with the !gbt command, the Read channel information and Write to Chat feed permissions are required.
  • The Subscribe to events (read chat feed, follows, subscribes, gifts) permission is required for the moderation tool we developed specifically for Kick and will be releasing soon. This tool is an adaptation of the widely used Chatterino application for Kick.

None of the granted permissions will be used for your channel without your request. When the relevant tools are released, only users who granted the necessary permissions will be able to benefit from these features.

Due to recap requests far beyond our expectations, there were some delays in processing on the first day. The system is currently running normally; however, demand is still high.

Leaderboard Bot for KICKS Gifts on Kick is Live! 🎉

Kick’s new KICKS gifts feature can now be tracked with a dedicated leaderboard bot. Streamers can easily view the contributions of their viewers and strengthen community engagement.

How to Activate?

  • Step 1: Log in to your account.
  • Step 2: Go to Kicks Commands Settings in your profile.
  • Step 3: Check the box Enable Kicks Top Gifter Commands.

After that, you can list the top gifters in your chat with the following commands:

  • !KicksD → Last 24 hours
  • !KicksW → Last 7 days
  • !KicksM → Last 30 days

  • Message Timing Within Broadcasts: You can now see exactly at what moment in the broadcast (e.g., 1 hour 4 minutes 13 seconds) each chat message was sent.
  • Replied Messages: With the new feature, it is now clearly shown which message a reply is responding to. You can easily track the connection between messages.
  • Broadcast Statistics Page: Thanks to a specially prepared statistics page for streamers, you can view how many followers were gained, how many unique users chatted, and the most popular keywords and chatters during each broadcast, in both graphical and tabular formats.
  • Common Audience Analysis: Now you can easily see which streamers have overlapping audiences. This helps you better understand audience habits and channel transitions.

🔒 Security Incident and Infrastructure Update

Dear users,

We feel the need to explain the recent downtime of our website. On May 1st, 2025, we experienced a serious cyberattack. For approximately 36 hours, we were unable to record any data. Although our backup servers continued operating, part of our primary database became unusable.

Thanks to our real-time backup systems, we managed to recover most of the data. However, we suspect that a limited amount of public information (mostly messages) may have been downloaded through our APIs.

As a result, we have overhauled our data storage infrastructure and replaced damaged hardware. For the technically curious: we have migrated from Elasticsearch to a microservice-based ClickHouse setup, though some services are still running on Elasticsearch for now.

We are aware that certain parts of the website may be slow. We are actively working on improvements and expect full performance recovery within the next 48 hours.
